Andre's entry point into filmmaking began with making low budget short films with friends. This naive curiosity became slightly more serious when Andre directed Last Shot – A Documentary on Film (2016) as well as Sarah (2018) which was then nominated for Best Film in the Open Youth category in the National Youth Film Awards. He most recently wrote and directed his thesis film, Trilingual Education Programme (2024).

Fuelled by his concern for prevalent social and political issues, Andre transitioned from a background in theatre-making to directing short films that intimately explores societal concerns. His purpose remains steadfast – to represent poignant social stories that explore the human condition.
