I’m Javion Tee, a Film, Sound & Video graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. My interest in filmmaking first started when I came across ‘behind the scenes’ videos of popular movies such as “Maze Runner”, directed by Wes Ball and “Aquaman”, directed by James Wan. Both films used different approaches during the filming process and what hooked me was how different their filming methods were. I started to wonder what other ways can films be made. That was when I started to dig deeper and watch more behind the scenes videos of movies.

In FSV, I learnt a lot more about cinematography and lighting, which were the aspects of filmmaking I focused more on. Having been on a many production sets, I took up roles like grip, gaffer and cinematographer throughout my polytechnic years.

I then did my internship at Tristeps Studios which gave me some exposure to content
creation, commercial production and businesses in media. Having done my internship there, I started to think and am now working towards pursuing a career in media as a full-time job.
