My name is Sayang. When I was 13 I watched Perks of Being a Wallflower for the first time and sobbed uncontrollably. From then on, I realized the power of film and it's the ability to make an impact on people, to make them feel. Ever since then, I have wanted to do anything related to the art. Now I am a 20-year-old student studying culinary. Although my course has nothing to do with my passion, I still strive to make it. By day, I have assignments of different types of pasta and by night, I am making little movies with my friends. I have learned that you don't need all the fancy gadgets and a big budget to make the things that make you happy. You just gotta do it now. I started off and still am using a $60 video camera from Carousell to bring my dreams to life. When I make my films, I do it with the intention of expressing a little idea in my head and as an excuse to hang with my friends who I always cast - never to be great, just to make art and have fun in the meantime.
