Stephen has a background in 3D animation, dabbling also in stage setup and audio mixing during his polytechnic days. He sees his studies in the BA (Hons) Film programme at LASALLE College of the Arts as a culmination of his skill sets, putting his skills in audio mixing to use whilst developing a newfound interest in production design.

While studying in LASALLE, Stephen learnt many things from his peers, seniors and lecturers, and gained industry experience from freelancing on film projects and working in the industry. He also gained an understanding of the technique and creativity required to create props and sets that bring a film to life while working in the workshop.

As he graduates, he hopes to further his skills by continuing to work and learn from those around him. Stephen’s graduation thesis film, Trilingual Education Programme (2024) is a culmination of both his majors in sound and production design, showcasing what he learnt throughout the years.
