Tisha Qurratu'ayn Binte Mohamad Sharin

Tisha is a film student from Film, Sound and Video (FSV) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She was the producer for the film 'A Landfill' a short documentary about a fishing village in Pulau Semakau before the modernisation of Singapore. Whilst typically an art director in her student films, she decided to take on the challenge of being a producer for the first time and it paid off. Using what she learnt as an art director, and a film student and her past experiences working in the customer service industry, she led her team through preproduction to post-production, producing (get it?) a film they're proud of.

Tisha has always had a passion for history and stories passed down from generation; listening to Mr Isa Talip talk about his childhood and his experiences about moving from Pulau Semakau to mainland Singapore at a young age tugged on her heartstrings. This led her to make sure the documentary tribute to the orang laut, Singapore's history, and Isa Talip and his family.
