Jow Zhi Wei attended Le Fresnoy (France) and LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), and is an alumnus of the Golden Horse Film Academy in 2010. A recipient of the NAC Young Artist Award in 2014, his short films have screened at prestigious film festivals— OUTING (San Sebastián International Film Festival 2010), WAITING (Busan International Film Festival 2010) and AFTER THE WINTER (Cannes Film Festival - Cinéfondation Selection 2013). His debut feature film TOMORROW IS A LONG TIME world premiered at the 2023 Berlinale, in the Generation 14plus competition, before going on to screen at international festivals such as Vancouver, Hong Kong, Taipei Golden Horse and Singapore.

Tan Fong Cheng

Since joining Zhao Wei Films in 2001, Fong Cheng has produced many of the company’s most noteworthy films including Eric Khoo’s Be With Me and No Day Off, as well as Royston Tan’s 15 and 881. A crowning achievement for her was producing Eric Khoo’s My Magic, which was invited to compete in the prestigious Main Competition of the 61st Cannes Film Festival. Fong Cheng then produced Khoo’s first animation feature film, Tatsumi, which was invited to the 64th Cannes Film Festival and made its North American premiere at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

A stalwart in the Singapore film industry, she produced Eric Khoo’s In The Room (40th Toronto International Festival, 20th Busan International Film Festival) and Boo Junfeng’s Apprentice. Fong Cheng has ventured into writing when she penned the scripts for Ghost Child, Ramen Teh and the Japanese episode of Folklore 2. For the platforms, she has produced HBO’s Folklore and Food Lore and CJ’s Hungry Souls.

In the past two years, titles that she has worked on include Monster Island (Stiges 2025), Spirit World (closing film for Busan 2024) and in 2025, Kopitiam Days (Tokyo International Film Festival 2025).

Berlinale Talents alumnus, Natalie Soh, is a film editor and occasional music-maker with multiple editing awards under their belt including Boo Junfeng’s Apprentice (Cannes, 2016), HBO’s Halfworlds 2 and Adventure of the Ring.

Ajoomma (2022)

Kris Ong is a screenwriter and script consultant from Singapore who has developed and sold shows to Netflix, StudioCanal, AppleTV, BBC One and HBOAsia. Her experience working with international studios, as well as independent and arthouse producers reflects her love for different stories and the varied audiences who enjoy them. Selected screenwriting work includes "Ajoomma" (2022), directed by He Shuming, for which she was nominated for a Golden Horse Award for Best Original Screenplay.

With a portfolio of works spanning across local and international feature films and series, Mocha Chai Laboratories' sound team has over 15 years of collective experience mixing for stereo to Dolby Atmos productions. Their collective credits include major titles such as Crazy Rich Asians, Eric Khoo's Spirit World, Wonderland by Chai Yee Wei, Cannes Camera d’Or winner Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, and The Sandbox (SGIFF 2025 Official Selection).

Knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of post-production sound, such as dialogue editing, ADR, sound design, and final mixing, the team brings a well-rounded, hands-on approach shaped by both large-scale productions and independent cinema, and are always eager to share their insight into real-world filmmaking workflows.
