Film directors
COLIN HUANG
Colin Huang (b. 14 July 1994) is a Singaporean filmmaker based in Taiwan. He holds an M.F.A. in Filmmaking from the Taipei National University of the Arts.
Primarily a fiction director, Colin is drawn to stories that blur genre boundaries—blending romance, science fiction, and dark comedy with emotional realism. His short film Rooftop Incident (2017) won Best Shot-on-Mobile Film at the 5th LEXUS New Film Festival and screened at the Golden Horse Film Festival. His time-travel romantic comedy Just in Time (2019) was showcased at international festivals including the Kyoto International Student Film C Video Festival (Japan) and 86358 Short Film Week (China).
In recent years, Colin has expanded into documentary filmmaking, bringing a narrative filmmaker’s eye to real-life stories. He co- directed and edited the feature documentary The Hump (premiering December 2025, China) and served as editor and cinematographer for Returning Home (2025). His first short documentary, Their Ascent (2022), was developed through TaiwanPitch and marked his shift toward exploring reality with the same emotional depth found in his fiction work. He also received support from Singapore’s National Youth Film Awards Film Facilitation Programme to direct Mothers C Daughters, a personal documentary about his family.
LEE JIA RONG
Lee Jia Rong, also known as JR Lee, is a multimedia creative based in Singapore. She enjoys exploring different mediums like photography, film, and digital media, often combining them to tell stories in fresh and personal ways. In 2023, through *SCAPE’s FFP program and with guidance from Singapore/Toronto-based producer Lai Weijie, she directed her first short film, Hell Hotline. JR continues to experiment and grow through her projects, valuing curiosity, collaboration, and the joy of creating work that connects with people.
GAVIN CHUA
Gavin is a Singaporean filmmaker and a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA in Film. His thesis film, May the Shadows Burn Again (2022), was nominated for the National Youth Film Awards, along with his most recent short film, The Passing (2023), which has been selected for the NYFA Film Facilitation Programme 2023 and nominated for the Singapore Youth Film Festival in 2024.

She then went on to work as a concept artist for local animation studio Finding Pictures, where she worked on productions such as Puberteens, Zombie Safari, NDP, and this year's Osaka World Expo. She is currently exploring the world of children's book writing, and is in the process of getting her first picture book published. She likes strong tea and has three cats.
GOH PEI FANG

Driven by curiosity and empathy, she is passionate about uncovering human stories and forming genuine connections with the people she documents.
