Mahia, a housewife trapped in a loveless arranged marriage with her domineering husband, finds her days trapped in a cyclical torture after the disappearance of their son, Ajeet. Ignoring her husband's disapproval, Mahia begins to search for her son in a mysterious forest where he had last been seen, afraid that something might have stolen him from her. However, she soon becomes entranced by the forest's mysteries and forms an unlikely friendship with a strange woman she encounters there. As her days spent in the forest begin to grow longer, she contemplates her womanhood through ecological healing.
