Aaron Andrew Ang is a Cinematographer who grew up in sunny Singapore. Having graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA(HONS) in Film, his multidisciplinary approach to filmmaking is influenced by his sensitivity and past experiences.
Stylistically, he has developed a special fondness for experimentation tapping on tools such as physical effects, natural light, darkness, dark humour, design and, beauty.
Translating the human condition into luminescence, composition and movement, Aaron infuses his films with a youthful and daring expression, fusing unfiltered emotion with a distinctive cinematic aesthetic. Aaron’s work spans both the narrative and commercial space, with his range of styles and disciplines covers from bright, aspirational lifestyle pieces, to compelling, moody and dramatic scenes.
His work has also been recognised by arts organisations and featured in exhibitions such as TIFA Working Studios, T:>Works Singapore, OH! Open House, Nowness Asia and numerous international film festivals like Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Chaktomuk Short Film Festival, Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival, Fantasia Film Festival, Goa Short Film Festival and Thessaloniki Cinedance International.
He has worked extensively with brands like Google, Steinway & Sons, OLAY, MacDonald’s, KLOOK, Fanta, Lego, OCBC, SIT, Spotify, HDB, NME Asia, Pomelo Fashion and Authentic Teahouse.
