Angeline Klarissa

Angeline’s fascination with film began in childhood, where her vivid imagination sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling. She pursued a Diploma in Broadcast Media at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2021, followed by a BA (Hons) in Film with First Class Honours, majoring in Directing (Fiction) and Production Design. She also represented Indonesia in the 2025 ASEAN-ROK Film Community Program and the 2024 ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator in Laos.

Her thesis film Dragonflies 蜻蜓 was selected by ten festivals, including Sharjah Film Platform 6, 17th Bali International Film Festival, Asian Film Archive Singapore Shorts ’24, and the 9th National Youth Film Awards Singapore. Her short Bullet Through The Church was presented at the 8th Poetry Festival Singapore, while her documentary Parijs Van Java, commissioned by the Busan Film Commission and KF ASEAN Culture House, was exhibited in Busan, South Korea.

Since 2021, Angeline has worked on various projects across films, commercials, and documentaries. Her personal work explores themes of femininity, kinship, and identity, challenging notions of “normality” through fiction, documentary, and poetic visuals. With a bold creative vision and versatile artistic voice, Angeline aims to provoke thought, evoke emotion, and inspire introspection in her audience.
