Vanessa is a multimedia creative passionate about sharing her love for Asian cinema, jazz and her three cats.

Since obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from Nanyang Technological University in 2023, Vanessa has transitioned from a background in creative writing and directing to taking on key roles in the production of locally broadcasted programs and short films. Her unscripted content credits include the six-part series Makan Time Stories (2023) and the ten-episode reality series Sell My Home (2023) for MediaCorp Channel 5. She is currently working on a wide variety of factual projects involving art, technology, history and health. In the sound, art and production departments, Vanessa has also worked on music videos for artists like Benjamin Kheng, Amni Musfirah, and Oakë, as well as commercials for brands such as Shopee, TMW Maxwell and La Mer, to name a few.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Vanessa actively engages in research surrounding cultural and creative industries across Asia, with a particular interest in production culture, public sphere theory, and sustainable creative practices.
