Christal is a Filipina-Eurasian filmmaker whose works explore facets of identity– with a specific focus on moral implications and challenges faced by marginalised working class women through a realist lens.

Christal’s first short film, Sometimes You Go Places had its World Premiere in Beijing International Short Film Festival in 2023. Subsequently, two of her short films, BEFORE YOU GO and Full Shift were screened locally at Short Circuit 7 and Singapore Shorts’24, respectively. Through her sensitivity to characters and their environment, Christal hopes to give her stories a sense of transcendence.
