El Goh is a writer and filmmaker who loves dabbling in character-driven stories and tropes such as found family. They are inspired by Asian mythology and other whimsical things like ghosts, pirates, angels and demons. El’s notable projects include upcoming horror-comedy animated series Penny for Your Soul, and their directorial debut, the SYFF-nominated mockumentary The Seven Seas of Sage (2024). They are currently working to expand the Seven Seas of Sage universe through an audio drama series, set to air in 2025. Since then, El has ventured far to the west, pursuing a degree in Creative Writing and English Literature at the University of East Anglia (UEA). When they’re not writing, El can be found bothering their cat Mika, or crying over their favourite TV shows and fictional characters.
