Jerry is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles, currently pursuing his MFA in Cinematography at UCLA. Born in Xi’an, China and raised in Singapore, he brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to filmmaking, approaching stories with empathy and sensitivity, particularly those rooted in Asian narratives. His style is defined by naturalistic compositions and organic lighting, creating an immersive visual language that serves both narrative and documentary projects with authenticity and nuance.

From 2018 to 2023, Jerry worked extensively in China and Singapore as a 1st Assistant Camera on narrative films, commercials, and documentaries. These years provided him with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset, shaping his ability to lead crews with both confidence and respect.

Today, Jerry combines his technical expertise with a strong sense of cultural awareness, making him a sought-after collaborator. His aspiration is to travel the world as a cinematographer, partnering with filmmakers from diverse backgrounds to bring meaningful, human stories to life through the power of cinema.
