Katriel Sim began her filmmaking journey at Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Film, Sound & Video diploma producing several school and independent short film projects. After graduation, she contributed to the creative development of several film projects during her internship at S11 Partners.

In 2023, Katriel co-produced a short film titled “On The Squared Stone,” featured at Singapore’s Home Movie Day 2023 and selected for the Canberra Short Film Festival in 2024. Birthmarks marks her directorial debut.

Katriel continues to pursue her passion for storytelling, aspiring to create heartfelt films that capture the complexities of the human experience.
