Pearlyn is a creative who enjoys writing and producing comedic media based around bizarre and surreal human relationships—all with the aim of addressing darker topics with a hopeful tone, and (hopefully) sparking joy within the audience. She has a deep interest in comedy, fantasy, sci-fi and genre media that have wholesome and cathartic endings.
As a graduate from the Bachelor in Film (Honours) Degree programme at Lasalle College of the Arts, she is currently working in film distribution, with hope to provide young, growing Asian filmmakers with opportunities to develop their film projects. She also writes super cool supernatural podcasts for HANTU—Tales From Incredible Tales and Ghost Maps. She is also evolving her passion of writing for theatre, and was part of Singapore Repertory Theatre's Playwriting Young Company.
With a background in creative writing for television and new media, she intends on exploring storytelling through every medium until she runs out of money, which is very soon. She also loves consuming stories through animation, theatre, video games, tabletop roleplaying games, and works tirelessly at making unserious cosplays in her free time.
