Muthaiah Keerthivasan

Muthaiah Keerthivasan graduated from Temasek Polytechnic in May 2023 with a Diploma in Digital Film and Television. He is currently serving his National Service while continuing to develop his portfolio in film and storytelling.

His directorial debut, Maayajalm (2016), earned him awards for Best Short Film and Best Actor. In 2021, Keerthivasan wrote and directed Whirling Gears, a short film that was nominated in six categories at the ciNE65 Movie Makers Award and won Best Editing.


In 2023, his final-year project, The 16 Melodies, won Silver at The Crowbar Multiplier Awards in the Short Film, Direction, and Screenplay categories. He served as both writer and director for the film.

Keerthivasan’s passion for storytelling began in primary school as an avid reader. His involvement in Tamil Drama during his secondary school years deepened his interest in storytelling, inspiring his dream of becoming a leading director. He is actively building his portfolio as a filmmaker.
