Rashad Bin Faizal is a filmmaker and aspiring artist. With his passion for storytelling and the moving image, Rashad has directed, written, and produced narratives across different formats. He has directed short context films for the Dynamic Defence Display in the 2024 National Day Parade while also created a photographic installation for his Final Year Project in NTU, School of Art, Design and Media.

Rashad hopes to expand his horizons on different creative roles across commercials, broadcast media, to passion projects. He has assistant produced a Mediacorp short-form programme that won a Star Award, production managed on multiple passion short films that won awards and mentions at international film festivals, and even assisted art direction for a historical exhibition for LKY100.

These unique experiences and challenges from creative collaborative work drives Rashad to push the envelope for storytelling. As an aspiring Director-Writer, he believes in the authentic yet surreal portrayal of reality and accessing narratives that provoke audiences. He aspires to create works that change perceptions.

Rashad’s future pursuits include refining his artistic voice through the creation of a body of works using different mediums, while honing his skills as a filmmaker and a creative.
