Tan Jia Min

TAN JIA MIN’S work centers narrative works across short and long form mediums, with a focus on story development and audience outreach. She started her producing journey with development work in Taipan Films, which led to her creating and producing web series 1000 CUPS TO MIDNIGHT (2021). She oversaw the post-production, as well as initial marketing strategies for local monster movie CIRCLE LINE (2023).

Most recently, she produced Kew Lin’s AUNT LOTUS AND HER DREAM BICYCLE (2022), which was an official selection at Leiden International Film Festival, Nepal International Film Festival, as well as the oscars-qualifying festival Short Shorts Film Festival. She has also refined her producing instincts in international labs, and was a participant in IFFR’s Producer’s Lab, as well as Full Circle Lab’s Fiction Lab in 2022.

Jia Min has a penchant and curiosity for stories that strikes a balance between the expression of human condition and international viability. Presently, she is a co-founder of the collective Extraordinary Moviemaking Division (EMD), with the goal of bringing together new generations of cinema goers, while seeking out fresh methods of distribution and marketing. She is currently in post-production for the Singaporean comedy feature film, WE CAN SAVE THE WORLD!!!.
