Meijo Fu completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animation at LASALLE College of the Arts. As an animator and storyteller, she aims to explore how animation as a medium can portray fantastical visual elements rooted within narratives centred around the human experience. By leveraging upon the limitless possibilities of animation, she aims to create visual spectacles larger than life to ground nuanced concepts and issues people face in reality.

Beyond the craft of animation, her interests include music and film soundscapes, and how it provides an alternative yet quintessential perspective to the narrative of a story. She is also interested in the academic research of film and animation, and has worked with her school to organise and host academic discussions that delve deeper into the technicalities and cultural significance of the arts.

Her work has been featured in festivals such as Cartoons Underground, the 34th European Film Festival and Annecy International Animation Film Festival, and has received the Bronze Crowbar Award in 2024 for her directorial animation short film, Beyond The Door.
