Nurfira Fazera Binte Roslan

Fira Roslan is a 23 year old multidisciplinary production designer rooted in visual storytelling, specializing in the whole concept of costume design. With a background in film and a sensitivity to atmosphere and symbolism, her work often explores Southeast Asian identity, ritual, and femininity.

As Production Designer for her Indonesian horror-dance thesis film, she transformed theoretical concepts such as abjection and the femme castratrice into a tangible visual world. Through costume, set, and movement, she shaped an immersive aesthetic that blended ritual with psychological unease.

In 2024, she worked as a Makeup Artist for Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights, where she handled multiple talents under tight timeframes. Her precision, speed, and ability to adapt makeup looks for durability and performance showcased her technical skill in a high-pressure, large-scale entertainment environment.

That same year, she contributed as Wardrobe and Makeup Artist for AI Audition: Lee Kuan Yew Project, an experimental documentary with her lecturer, researching and recreating historically grounded looks within a speculative AI-driven narrative. Her interdisciplinary approach—balancing research, intuition, and technical expertise—makes her a distinct voice in shaping cinematic and theatrical worlds.
